Cap Trans, the transportation arm of CCAA, provides rural public transportation for a service area of 5,702 square miles in the Counties of Crosby, Dickens, Floyd, Hale, King, and Motley and the rural areas of Lubbock County. The central office is located in Crosbyton and transportation centers are located in every county except King. The transportation centers share facilities with other community services organizations. Fixed and scheduled routes demand ending at 7:30pm. Dialysis routes are also available. Drivers are trained in CPR, Passenger Assistance and First Aid. Billingual and paratransit services are available. Vehicles vary in size and range from seven to twenty two passengers capacity; most with wheelchair lifts. A ride should be scheduled 24 hours in advance. Transportation is available for employment, entertainment, shopping, medial appointments and any community activity. |
